Disclaimer, Guarantee Details and Returns Policy

Hentronix units are to help you keep your chickens safe, but we cannot accept responsibility for any loss of chickens. As with any automatic system, the ultimate responsibility for the welfare and safety of the chickens rests with the owner/keeper – also to gauge whether the chickens are old enough to go into the coop by themselves automatically. That said, we have worked tirelessly, and continue to work tirelessly to provide the best openers and closers on the market with great customer support.

[Recommendation as of 12th January 2024] We recommend that you use the Hentronix door opener in conjunction with a secure mesh/wire run/cage. Foxes and other such predators can be bold at certain times of the year, so allowing your chickens to roam 100% freely should not recommended with any door opener. This will help keep your hens safe.

Shipping: Whilst we advertise average shipping times, we can't assume responsibility for the operational difficulties experienced by couriers. We do ask that you place your order in good time in advance of any holidays to avoid disappointment!

Information relating to purchase of WiFi/Bluetooth upgrades (Added 1st May 2024, following implementation of new UK law):

Any bugs in WiFi/Bluetooth devices can be relayed to us at info@hentronix.co.uk. The guarantee on your circuit board hardware (which communicates with your phone) is the same as that with any Hentronix opener (two years). We will continue to provide free updates, support and guarantee server facilities use particularly for WiFi openers for the foreseeable future and have no intention to stop this.

Orders Placed from within the EU from January 1st 2021:

Since January 1st 2021, all orders placed on the website have been inclusive of an assumed VAT rate of 20%. For EU countries (except Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and Romania), we prepay your country’s VAT as a part of the purchase price, so you won’t receive a VAT invoice upon delivery! For countries such as Norway, Switzerland, Poland, Sweden, Belgium and Romania, we refund the VAT allowance upon the parcel’s dispatch from our facility in England. Orders to EU countries are subject to a minimum £35 spend (excluding delivery charges) in order to cover customs fees paid for by Hentronix.

Payments by PayPal: We accept payments by PayPal! Some payments processed through PayPal will have a fee levied on them by PayPal and we regret that we cannot absorb these fees or refund said fees.

Privacy Policy: Hentronix Ltd does not handle financial payments directly and does therefore not see any customer payment/card information. Our website is secure, and card payments are processed through Stripe and/or PayPal and therefore not handled directly by us. We like to think this increases the security around our customers' payment details. 

Returns Policy: You may return any item unused and undamaged within 15 days of receipt of the product for a refund (the product must be received by Hentronix within this time). A restocking fee of 15% of the total value of the order will be incurred, since our openers are made up custom to your order, and the initial shipping is non-refundable for EU and US orders.  Please include the invoice you received automatically when ordering the product when returning the unit to help us identify it. Return shipping must be arranged by the customer and paid for by the customer. Unfortunately, used products cannot be returned as this measure prevents the spread of poultry-related illness via our production facility.

Please allow up to 7 working days after we have recieved your unit for reimbursement to be processed.

Guarantee Details:

The Hentronix guarantee does not cover

  • Parts produced to the highest relevant standards that might wear out over time (e.g. fuses, batteries, etc.).

  • Accidental damage

  • Faults caused by:

    • Negligent use, misuse, neglect or careless operation of the device

    • Use of parts not assembled, installed or maintained in accordance Hentronix advice

The two year guarantee is effective from the Date of Purchase, and the purchased unit’s guarantee is not extended beyond the initial guarantee period following repair. Purchase of any product represents an acceptance of these terms.
