Tired of getting fewer eggs in the winter? This add-on provides extra light during the winter to compensate for fewer daylight hours to help ensure regular egg production is continued.

The use of LED means that this unit runs much cooler than conventional lighting units, meaning savings not only in power, but also means that it is much safer than conventional non-LED lighting units.

Your Hentronix unit will tell your Coop Lighting Unit to begin lighting your coop once the daylight drops below a certain number of hours. Before the Hentronix unit opens your coop in the morning, the light will then add the amount of light needed for continued egg production.

This gives the chickens extra light before the dawn and is the most natural way of lighting your hens 😊

NB: If you’re looking to use the light for many hours in the morning (to prolong egg laying) we recommend powering your Hentronix unit using mains/socket electricity. This is because the power consumption is quite high with the light in the winter, when there is less light for the solar panel to charge the battery anyway.
